Living
- Mycroft Holmes: elder brother, 10 years older than Sherlock, 1849, legal guardian after parents died, complicated relationship because there is real love there but also over-protectiveness and Sherlock being a bratty, adventurous little brother who is too smart for his own good (but lacking experience and thinking of the bigger picture)
- Jonathan (Jon): See here, same age as Sherlock, been with Sherlock for as long as both can remember (sketch of Jon dated 1865, yet after Siger's death in August 20th of the same year)
Spoilers
SHCO only. While Sherlock calls for and references him in SHTA, Jon is gone. Elements of Jon are seen more in Sherlock proper, and the game is afoot with John Watson beside him.
Deceased
- Siger Morland Holmes: father, 1824-1865, August 20th, age 41 (Sherlock, 6; Mycroft, 16), remembers a deep feeling of loss more than his actual father, still kept his pipe as a memento
- Violet Holmes: mother, 1829-1869, April 9th, age 40, (Sherlock, 10; Mycroft, 20), adored her, shared interests, ultimately very complicated relationship towards the end of her life
