[His head tilts, deeply amused by this but still acting like he's done nothing wrong.]
Wasn't that something you were wondering about? I mean...
[Heizou then reaches over to the table next to him, where he picks up a familiar book that's been laying there quietly all this time, and then flips to a page where a bit of paper is sticking out. And with a quick clearing of his throat, he reads out loud-]
"While some of our congress are full of frenzied passion, an explosion leaving us both stunned, others are slow and lengthy--"
[ And that clues Sherlock in as to why the example sounded so familiar. ]
I-I actually wrote that?! When I couldn't find the page to burn, I-I thought my mind had a bout of madness or it had been part of a dream.
[ He doesn't accuse Heizou of stealing it. He knows the other detective wouldn't do that to him. (Besides, Sherlock is the one who is more likely to do a minor crime between the two of them.) ]
Where did you find that?!
[ And did Heizou read the whole thing? No, why is he even entertaining that idea. Of course Heizou read the whole thing if he's quoting from it. ]
[Heizou laughs a little at the way Sherlock flusters, closing the book on the slip of paper and holding it up for the detective to see.]
Why Sherry, you left it in this book right here in the agency!
[He's not going to relinquish it just yet. He just sort of waves the book in the air cheekily.]
Hmmm, maybe we should table this discussion... Perhaps I could simply give this letter to your dear doctor should he arrive, and let him give you a more hands-on lesson~
[ He left it in a book here?! No wonder he couldn't find it. He was looking in the wrong location entirely. Sherlock covers his face again, this time as if he's trying to hide the heat radiating off his skin. The tips of his ears continue to be a dead giveaway. ]
Why can I picture you doing such a thing if I took too long to reveal my feelings to him? Man alive, if he ever did arrive, I would have to act quickly, not for the belief that he would have many suitors, but before all of you decide to take matters into your own hands.
Well, as your friends, we'd of course only be acting your best interest~
[Heizou is absolutely tickled about all of this. Sherlock is a joy to tease - much to his chagrin, to be sure - and Heizou relishes in every opportunity to do so. It's a testament to how at ease he feels around his fellow detective, that he can be the cheeky brat he's always been beneath his polite smiles.]
So? Should we leave things to that chance, or will you start asking me some proper questions~?
[ On some level, Sherlock enjoys having someone tease him, to honestly tease him and not consider him a plaything to then later break. There is a certain level of trust involved, and Sherlock has teased Heizou back before. However, he cannot deny that there is a current imbalance which Sherlock must rectify in the future. (Said opportunity may be a long time coming.)
He takes a deep breath as if he's about to jump into water. It braces him some, and if he needs to loosen up, there is that alcohol he brought over. ]
No, I would much prefer to have some factual knowledge. My dreams may give some... possibilities, though I know not exactly where the inspiration originated, but I question their accuracy. Should I start by asking for a basic understanding of the most common acts between lovers, or should I focus more on specifics? ... Like the wall to use an example you've already brought up?
[Heizou lays the book to rest in his lap, a hand pressed over the cover as though to prove to Sherlock that he won't be looking at the letter again - so long as things stay on track. He then settles once again, leaning on the armrest of his chair and propping his head up with his other hand as he smiles at his best friend and companion.]
How about we start with what your imagination has provided you with? That way we can dispel any inaccuracies you've dreamt up before we walk through reality. You can manage that, right?
[ Can he manage that? They are soon to find out. This is what Sherlock wanted, answers to his questions. He has to ask the questions first if he wants those answers. ]
... There is one scenario that happens regularly enough. John and I are sitting side by side on the settee in our shared flat. He turns to kiss me and pull me onto his lap. My clothing disappears until I am in open shirtsleeves only and bare everywhere else. He touches me between my legs with a hand. John lacks his waistcoat and necktie but is otherwise clothed. Next we are both bare. I'm in his lap, legs wrapped around his waist, arms around his neck, as he presses into me, and then the next moment I am in his bed. I don't think we once parted despite the change in location. He is atop me and continuing to press into me. I am uncertain if he... finished. I believe I did as I am overwhelmed. He is quite gentle after, though I still don't think we've parted.
[ It's not a smooth retelling because his subconscious skips parts, unable to fully connect the scenes as pieces are missing. How did his clothes disappear? How did John's? How exactly was he being touched? How did they get from the settee to John's bed?
Sherlock looks sheepishly at Heizou, half disbelieving he actually said those words out loud, half looking for approval that he's managed. ]
